The program of the first day encompasses lectures of distinguished world-renowned personalities of the academic scientific sector, research foundations and pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies.
First and foremost, the aim of the scientific meeting is to underline the need for improving the life of patients affected by neurodegenerative diseases through effective diagnostic and therapeutic approaches that could modify the course of the disease or to reduce its progression.
During the day, the meeting will describe the evolution of the global drug discovery industry towards novel competitive and sustainable business model based on the cooperation between the academic sector, research foundations and pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry. The vision is to promote a knowledge-based model that accelerates innovation in the biomedical sector and delivers social returns for human kind.
The fourth edition of “Bioeconomy Rome” is going to take place on 13-14 November 2014. A scientific day is scheduled for 13th November at the Auditorium of IRBM Science Park in Pomezia. The main topic will be on “Therapeutic Frontiers for Neurodegenerative Diseases : Novel Approaches for Old Challenges”.
On November 14, at the Salone delle Feste of the Quirinale the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano will deliver the awards to the six winning young researchers.
