The CNCCS (Collezione Nazionale Composti Chimici e Centro Screening) a joint venture between the National Research Council (CNR), the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) and IRBM Science Park has presented the IV edition of the Bioeconomy Rome International Conference entitled:

Therapeutic Frontiers for Neurodegenerative Diseases
Novel Approaches for Old Challenges

At the conference, for the International Prize “Bioeconomy Rome” 2014, the CNCCS assigned 5 research awards of ten thousand dollars ($ 10,000) each, to young researchers who have distinguished themselves in the field of neurodegenerative diseases research.

The winners have been selected by the “Bioeconomy Rome Prize Committee” which includes a number of world-renowned scientists and they have formalized the winners at the Awards Ceremony which has taken place during the Bioeconomy Rome International Conference 2014. The Award Ceremony took place on November 14 at the Salone delle Feste of the Quirinale, where the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano has delivered the prizes to the winners.
